Projector throw distance
Throw ratio + image width → required projector mount distance.
Find the throw ratio on the projector datasheet — usually a range like 1.2:1 – 1.8:1 for zoom lenses, or a single value for fixed lenses. Enter the desired image width and we'll show where the projector lens needs to sit.

Measure from the front of the projector lens to the screen surface. Many projectors also have vertical lens shift — that doesn't change throw distance, just where the image lands.

Looking down at the room. The lime band is the valid lens position for the chosen image width — anywhere along it produces the right size.
Need this math wired into a real system? We do that for a living.
