Polarity test signal
Asymmetric pulse — verify your speakers are wired in phase.
A short pulse with a fast rise and slow decay. On a correctly wired speaker, a positive pulse moves the cone OUT first. If the cone moves IN, the polarity is reversed somewhere in the signal chain. Fire one channel at a time on identical pairs to find the mismatched one.

how to use
- ▸ Connect one channel at a time to the speaker you're testing.
- ▸ Press start and walk to the speaker — pulses fire once per second so you have time to watch the cone.
- ▸ On a positive pulse the cone should move outward (toward you) first. If it moves inward, the speaker is wired backward.
- ▸ Run on both channels — they should behave identically.
Need this math wired into a real system? We do that for a living.
