Motion test patterns
Pursuit camera, scrolling text, and a 24 / 30 / 60 fps virtual clock — judge motion blur, tearing, and 3:2 pulldown judder on the target display.
Pick a sub-pattern, press start, and fullscreen on the display you're commissioning. The pursuit-camera box reveals motion blur and overshoot; scrolling text catches dropped frames and tearing; the frame-rate test quantizes motion to 24 / 30 / 60 fps so 3:2 pulldown judder becomes unmistakable.
Press start, fullscreen the page on the target display, and judge the motion. Pursuit camera reveals motion blur (track the box with your eye — the internal stripes should stay sharp); scrolling text shows tearing and dropped frames; frame rate quantizes the same motion to 24 / 30 / 60 fps so 3:2 pulldown judder is unmistakable.
Need this math wired into a real system? We do that for a living.
